Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar got hitched to beau Mohsin Akhtar in a secret affair in Mumbai. The 42-year-old issued a formal statement to inform the media about her wedding and made sure not a single detail about the event was leaked before that. The hush-hush wedding was a complete private affair with only close friends and family present at the do.

Urmila married her Kashmiri boyfriend in a traditional Hindu ceremony and is planning to have a nikah ceremony soon too. Dressed in a beautiful Manish Malhotra ensemble, the Judaai actress looked stunning. Her better-half looked no less than a prince in a golden Sherwani. The pictures of their wedding reception are out and we must say the couple looks lovely posing together.

Actress Urmila Matondkar married businessman Mohsin Akhtar Mir on March 3 in a private ceremony in Mumbai.

“We kept it an exclusive wedding with just family and friends at the celebration. Since our families wanted the wedding to be a low key affair we mutually decided to keep it private. We seek your blessings on embarking this new journey of our lives,” Urmila said in a statement.

Urmila looked stunning in a Manish Malhotra ensemble festooned with long string necklaces.

Designer Manish Malhotra, one of Urmila’s closest friends, was reportedly the only Bollywood personality present at the wedding. He tweeted a picture with the bride:

Speaking to HT about the wedding, Malhotra said: “Urmila is a dear friend and I’m so happy for her. She met Mir Mohsin at my niece Rridhi’s wedding in Mumbai in December 2014 and they just hit it off. He used to be a model long back but now does the business of Kashmiri embroidery.”
